Preview shows fine, printed page (HP Deskjet 842c) is original size on page 1, what should be a continued image on page 2 is actually complete image, resized to 1 inch height x page width. Printing Landscape. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Load large image in mozzila browser. 2. file -> print preview 3. Resize image to fit to width 4. Print Actual Results: Print preview shows what I want/expect. Image on 1 page, fit to width Printed pages are incorrect. Expected Results: Print what is previewed. This worked just fine in 1.2.1, when upgraded to 1.4, now have this problem.

I have another problem, that leads the same direction. Look at the attachement. If I want to print that large image, I get the following problem: zoom to original size in browser print preview I get only 6 pages instead of 12. I see only the left part of the picture. |------|------| | 1 | 2 | | | | |------|------| | 3 | 4 | | | | |------|------| | 5 | 6 | | | | |------|------| | 7 | 8 | | | | |------|------| | 9 | 10 | | | | |------|------| | 11 | 12 | | | | |------|------| If I want to print those 6 pages with scale 100% I get five times the numbers 1,3,5,7 scaled to fit the page. On the sixth page they were scaled to the height of 4cm. The pages with 2,4,6,8 on them won't be printed. Will I print the zoomed out view of the image in the browser, I get one page with all 8 numbers on it. The print preview for that job (scale 100%) shows only the left four numbers - not the right ones an tells me, that I have page 1 of 1. summary: print preview shows not all pages - if the pictures width is too large, it will be cut off printing oversized images isn't possible.

Seems bug does exist, and exists in current devolpment trees. As this is my first bug report, please forgive me if I do something wrong. Added Keywords I deemed appropriate, and reassigned to QA keyword regression is because this worked in 1.2.1 and is now broke.

Hi Patrick, I saw, that you edited the summary. I don't think that you're right when you say "shows fine". Look at my example and tell me if you see all pages. I get only half of pages in the preview.

its not interesting if I say "resize" or not. It seems to be a part of a general problem of the print preview. I tried to use different scales like you. The effect was: I got half of the pages (6 of 12), but on all 6 pages was the same: 1,3,5,7 scaled to one page - but.. on the last page it wasn't scaled to the hole page with normal borders - it was scaled to a scope of 4cm height.

Print preview this image, and (in page setup) click fit to width. Image in print preview is fine, however, if you try to print the resized image, it doesn't print properly. It prints full size on one sheet, and on the second it is a very narrow 1" strip of junk.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-GB; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803 Still not fixed; problem noted while printing emails. If a JPEG crosses a page border, the image is not moved to the second page - ideal behaviour, if possible, for an attachment to an email - or the less desireable but expected outcome that part of the image is shown on each page. Instead, the entire image appears, compressed, on both pages.

I too have been encountering this same bug. I have verified it happens in Firefox v1.0.5 and in v1.5 (not sure on build dates, as the 1.0.5 browser I am not infront of, and 1.5 it's not showing up). The main thing it does, is in 2 parts. like in comment 5; the images are cut off when it is at the endge of the page. Also, the text is also cut when it progresses past the page border. It does it on both shrink to fit and 100%. An example of the text being cut off; is included. Just goto the site, and either print or print preview (tested on multiple printers) http://www.croquet.com/

Windows 2000 support has been dropped a while ago. Please only reopen this bug if you can reproduce it on Windows XP or older with current Firefox builds.

Ioana, there appears to be nothing win2k-specific about this bug. Please don't resolve bugs as wontfix based on their (bogus, automatically set by Bugzilla) OS field without actually trying to reproduce them.

Comments 0 and 8 actually refer to Windows 2000, not just the OS field. There are no other OSs mentioned in this bug. Also, in my experience with Win2k bugs, most of them didn't reproduce on Win XP or 7. What OS do you think would be suitable to try and reproduce such bugs on?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 WFM with the attached test cases. Both the print previews and printed copies look fine.
