Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. click down and up rapidly with the left-mouse button and middle-mouse button at the same time 2. it may take a few tries 3. Actual Results: autoscroll turns off, but the autoscroll icon does not disappear. so if you click middle-mouse button again, you can get two (or more) autoscroll icons of the screen Expected Results: autoscroll turns off, and the autoscroll icon disappear. it should not be possible for more than one autoscroll icon to appear at the same time. the extra icons disappear after leaving the current page.

this shows multiple autoscroll icons appearing on the same page.
Confirming with build 20030706, Win98. Not sure if it's the same bug, but I see the same behaviour with just a middle-click during a small mouse movement. Middle-click, while doing a very small and gentle movement with the mouse, will start the autoscroll without the autoscroll image. So long as I don't make a too large or hasty move, I can autoscroll up and down without the image, and if I then middleclick again, I get a sticky image. This is even trickier to reproduce, and changing the speed or acceleration in my mouse driver does not seem make it easier.

I noticed this bug too. I use 20030706 at work, and 20030529 here at home with the autoscroll extension. One of the things I noticed was that with the extension, the graphic comes up onMouseDown. At work (with 20030706) the graphic comes up onMouseUp. comment 3: you can do what you are talking about by middle-clicking down, and then moving your mouse no greater than the height (width too?) of the image. This is all of course because the image appears onMouseUp, when the extension (that didn't have this bug) caused the image to appear onMouseDown.

20030714 Mozilla Firebird/0.6 Win2000 I have the same problem simply clicking the middle mouse button multiple times.
I've noticed this occuring even when the middle mouse button is the only button being pressed. Just clicking a few times on the middle mouse button sometimes causes the image to remain. Happens for me from time to time during regular use (I use autoscroll a lot).
I think blake fixed this issue. Reporter: Can you try with latest build?
I am not the reporter, but I can no longer reproduce this bug in build 20030720 on WinXP, so it looks like this indeed is fixed. Resolving as WORKSFORME. Please reopen if you still see this.
