User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 If I go into the Junk mail folder with any other number of messages, this works fine. If I have just enough messages to almost fill the message list (where it meets up with the preview pane) in the Junk Mail folder, I seem to have this happen in a loop. "Mozilla thinks this mail is junk mail" of course appears at the top of the message as it should. It then adds the scrollbar to the right on the message list. The message itself, as well as the headers and the 'this message is junk mail' almost 'shakes' up and down. Those elements move up and down and the scroll bar appears and disappears on the message list. If I change where the split between message list and preview, this doesn't happen (until I get it just right again) -M Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: See above. Expected Results: Should add the scroll bar and leave a slight gap
This appears to be very similar to bug 201379, if not a duplicate; and probably would be fixed by the patch to bug 201460.
Michael Krieger, there is a fix in current builds of 1.5b for bug 201379. When you update your version of Mozilla, please check whether this bug still exists.
Michael Krieger, is this bug still happening for you with Moz 1.5 (or 1.4.1)?
I ultimately managed to tweak the bar's settings to some position which caused this to not happen and haven't seen the bug since. I can't seem to reproduce it now, as it was a rarity back then as well, and once I adjusted the divider, all was well. I'd leave the bug on the burner and I'll try and reproduce it with clear settings on my next Mozilla upgrade. -M
