This bug appears closely related to bug 208541, another case of alternate OBJECT content not printing. Confirming new 20030710 PC/WinXP, though the NYT's HTML is really funky. They aren't even really trying to use the OBJECT tag as the HTML OBJECT tag. It looks like something proprietary to their CMS, most likely.
