User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624
Currently, the only way to toggle between showing All and Normal headers in a
message window is to go to the menu View -> Headers -> All/Normal. There is a
toggle-switch in the Headers area, but it "minimizes" the headers into a
different format than if one were to select Normal from the menu.
Would it be bad have a three-way toggle that cycles through All, Normal, and
Compact-Normal? Admitedly there would be some redundancy, but I imagine some
people would prefer the format of Normal to Compact-Normal and vice-versa, while
some people need to see All headers.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Addendum: ver Mozilla 1.4 final
The "Compact" format only shows Subject, From, and (unlabled) date.
"Normal" format shows more: Reply-To and To. I'm not certain if Normal will
show any more than that. But in any case, there is a little more data than the
Compact format. If Compact showed everything that Normal showed, then there'd
be less of a problem of just leaving it as it is.
"All" format, of course, shows all headers.
Summary: [RFE] Easier/faster way to switch b/t Show All & Normal Headers → [RFE] Easier way to switch b/t Show All & Norm Headers

See bug 150908 for a specific request in this vein; perhaps this bug should be
marked a dupe of that one. Some form of keyboard shortcut for the menu
operation would be another idea (as in the related bug 61495).
See also bug 154712 for an alternate idea.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
