I recently upgraded to 1.4 via RPMs.  I'm not certain if this worked before in 1.3 .

Printer shows as configured by redhat-config-printer 0.6.x
URI: ipp://<localhost>:631/printers/<printer name>
Device ptal:/mlc:usb:OfficeJet_V40
Print System Used: CUPS



Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select File/Print or ^P from browser or mail windows

Actual Results:  
Displayed a selection window with the printer radio button selected and the
Printer: drop down with only the choice Postscript/default.

Expected Results:  
My system has several pseud printers and an HP OfficeJet.  I would expect that
the OfficeJet (and others) would be visible.

why should this be NOT printing ?

Removing and redefining the printer w/redhat-config-printer didn't resolve this.
All Redhat updates are applied.

Any suggestions?

see bug 109816 and bug 90947.  CUPS is not supported directly because it is only
one of many printing systems.  Mozilla printing through xprint
(http://xprint.mozdev.org/) should handle CUPS printers better, but the RPMs
from .mozilla.org and Red Hat do not include XPrint functionality.  Most other
builds do.

marking dupe of "[ps] Use /etc/printcap to set default printer names and
commands", which seems to be where all the CUPS bugs have ended up.
