Mac Classic supported has been dropped since Mozilla 1.2.1 I think it's time to remove the classic mac platforms from bmo. Mac System 7, 7.5, 7.6.1 and 8.0 can be removed instantly since all of them only have bugs in the resolved, closed or verified state. Removing Mac System 8.5, 8.6 and 9.x will take some time, since there are still over 550 bugs targeted at them in the unconfirmed, new, assigned and reopened state.

We can't remove the existing ones just because the bugs are all resolved. They still have historical value. The proper thing to do here is simply deactivate them so you can't file new bugs with them. Unfortunately that depends on Bugzilla bug 77193 getting fixed first.
Depends on: 77193

Dave, what would prevent us from moving them to OS->other? They would still be recognized as mac bugs, because of the platform.

In response to comment #2, I think it would be a bad idea to class bugs filed against Mac OS 7 or 8 to Other. I believe this would mislead end users and testers into thinking those bugs were misfiled for OS 9 or X. I suggest that the Mac OSes on b.m.o look like this: | Other MacOS | | MacOS 9 | | Mac OS X | This would be perfect for users on OS 9 using NS 7.0x builds, the WaMCom builds, or Mozilla 1.2.1 or 1.0.2 builds to file bugs.

Dave, on bug 165825 you said: |We have a cool GUI editor for these field values now that doesn't have strange |side effects when you add/delete things that we picked up with last night's |Bugzilla upggrade. This has now been deleted. Could you also do the same here with Mac System 7 to 9.x?

As mentioned in comment 4, this can be done from the admin UI now.

Dave: If I go to Field Values, I only get the ability to delete these values. Where do I go to deactivate? these really take up a lot of space in the dropdown list. (In reply to comment #5) > As mentioned in comment 4, this can be done from the admin UI now. >

Deleting is what I was talking about in my previous comments. There is no way to deactivate them currently without outright deleting them. There is no way to preserve the existing ones without leaving them intact. Deactivating them still depends on bug 77193, which still hasn't been fixed.
