Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030810 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030810 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1+ After starting up the browser I decided to download some new themes and give them a try. I started with the Walnut theme and had a play before deciding to go back to the default theme. I then noticed that the menu item fonts and icons were still as the last theme and only changed when that menu item was highlighted. Also the background of the sub menus that I had previously selected in the Bookmarks menu did not change to the current theme background. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start up the browser. 2. Go to http://texturizer.net/firebird/themes.html and download the Walnut 1.5 theme. 3. Activate the Walnut theme. 4. Go to Bookmarks -> 'Bookmarks Toolbar Folder' (or just a menu item that can be expanded) and ensure that you see the menu sub items 5. Activate the default theme (Mozilla Firebird) Actual Results: You will now notice that the font/text on all the dropdown menus is still using the old theme defaults and will change to what is in the current theme only after it gets highlighted. Also the previously selected sub menu item (as in step 4) will still be showing the Walnut background colours, with the menu item fonts changing after it gets higlighted. Expected Results: All menu fonts and backgrounds should be set to the new theme every thime you change a theme and not just the first time you change the theme. A workarround for this problem is to restart the browser.

I see this also, but here the Walnut theme is not applied correctly and Firebird has to be restarted. Switching back to the default theme works like a charm. Iain, have you tested this with other themes, to confirm, that this is not a theme-specific issue of Walnut?

I can confirm that I can also see this with the Phase theme. And additional point is that if you go from default -> Phase -> Walnut you will notice that the Walnut background only appears when you highlight the menu item and then reverts back to the grey background rathen than staying with the Walnut colours.
