Open the address book from the main screen in thunderbird.  When you type in a
name in the "Name or Email contains:" field and then click the "Advanced..."
button, the program will freeze.  The only way to resolve is to manually kill
the program an re-open it again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open the address book
2. type in a name in the "Name or Email contains:" field
3. click the "Advanced" button

Actual Results:  
program freezes

Expected Results:  
advanced search

program not responding

I suppose you are using 0.1 release where this function freezes the application.
In newer builds this leads to a crash as described in bug 215897.
