WFM on WinXP SP1 trunk 2003081304. Reporter: please download a recent nightly build from <http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/>, and try again. If this fixes your problem, please resolve this bug as WFM. Thank you !
Tried again with latest build for Mac [Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030815]; same behaviour.

Reporter, can you please attach a crash log to this bug? (Crash logs should be found in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Mozilla.crash.log and this crash will be near the bottom of that file (or the last one if you haven't crashed since) -> crahses are separated by "*********") Also, can you please include an example page where you're seeing this happening thx!

Hmm, this looks like a possible dupe of bug 213639. See http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213639#c7 I never marked that bug "NEW" because I wanted some more confirmations. Seb, does the download work if you use "Save link target as..." from the contextual menu? What version of OS X are you on?
Example url added as requested. Can't add crash log as ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter does not exist (in either my user account or the admin account.) Looking at bug 213639 I agree this is probably a duplicate. The crash does not happen if I use "Save link target as..." from the contextual menu; I just get the "Save as" dialog as expected. My Mac OS is 10.1.5 One extra observation: the crash only happens if the "Always ask me before handling files of this type" box is ticked in the Helper Applications preferences for "application/pdf". This was a bit tricky to verify since trying to edit the setting in 1.5b causes the browser to crash as soon as I select the "application/pdf" entry in the list (I have not logged this as a separate bug.)
