Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Build Identifier:
I have messages with a header of "List-Id: <bugtraq.list-id.securityfocus.com>"
so I figured I would create a view just to see those messages. Went into the
customize views->message view setup and there was no List-Id header option so I
followed that menu to the Customize Headers option and entered "List-Id" as the
header name.
Came back to the message view setup screen and selected List-Id contains
with "bugtraq.list-id.securityfocus.com" as the text to match on. Went back to
my inbox and this rule matches no messages with that header.
Sorry if I am mis-understanding how to use this feature, but I thought I would
bring this to your attention. Great job on the mail client guys, I just
switched over from Outlook, the IMAP support is great and the feature set is
very appealing, keep up the great work!
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add the List-Id header
2. Setup rule to use it
3. Pick the view you added the rule to
Actual Results:
No messages are show in the folder the view has been applied to
Expected Results:
Shown messages that came from bugtraq

This should work the way you tried but maybe you hit one or two bugs that
prevents this form working. Using the following steps I was able to get a
working message view (Tb 0.2, Win2k, POP account):
1. View > Messages > Customize...
2. Click "New..."
3. Select first dropdown box > Customize...
4. Enter List-id and click "Add", then OK
5. Click "Cancel" in "Message View Setup" window.
6. Click "New..." button again
7. Select "List-id" from first dropdown, select "contains" from the second and
enter "bugtraq.list-id.securityfocus.com", finally enter a name for the message view
8. Confirm all remaining dialogs with OK.
After that the new view should be active and working right (sometimes you need
to select another view first and then the new one).
It's important to close the message view setup window in step 5 and open it
again for updating the dropdown list with the newly created header. Nasty bug
since you can continue without that step but it won't work right.

Reporter, are you able to reproduce this bug when following the steps from my
previous comment?

Yes that workaround did make the filters work.

So everything is ok with the filters but bug 212625 prevented it from working in
your case.
marking as dupe though it's not a real one
