When downloading messages since Mozilla 1.4ish (don't know exactly when it
started, but it worked in 1.3, and not in 1.4 final). While downloading
messages, I can click on the inbox, but am not shown my inbox. The only way to
see my inbox, is wait until the entire download is complete, click on another
item (for example drafts) and go back to Inbox.
It also does not update the unread message count next to the label on the left
side once the freeze takes place.

Calling major as it's a real pain in the butt. With all these virus mails, it
can take several minutes to download mail, rather than read other mail... I am
stuck waiting until it's all done.

I'm still seeing this, just got used to living with it (annoying).
It removes the ability to read email while messages are downloading.

you're running into folder locking. Exactly how are you downloading mail into
your inbox? Are you choosing get new messages from account central, and then
clicking on your inbox? If you click get new mail while your inbox is open,
you'll be able to read messages while you're downloading messages.

please try a build from 12/6/2003 or later. This is a dup, I believe, and should
be fixed.
