this behaviour seems to exist everytime mozilla fails to find the program to
import from (outlook/express/eudora) across mail, address book and settings
import options. also if when importing, an explorer file-open type window
appears and the user selects a file that can not be imported, the mozilla import
window updates with different text and only the finish button is available, the
back and cancel buttons are greyed out. an example of how this affects usability
is that the user then needs to click finish and goto
tools->import->settings->eudora (for example) to retry the operation rather than
simply being able to click the back button to retry.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

211765 + 216155 and its also possibly related to 114075.
Just checked this with the latest thunderbird nightly build (1.6a1 alpha2) and
you are still unable, after doing a non successful import, to go back by
pressing the [back] button in order to try import again.
Note: AFAIK when i first submitted this (while using the mozilla suite) the
[back] button was greyed out. I also remember testing it in an early thunderbird
version and getting the same result. NOW HOWEVER the [back] button appears as an
option but upon pressing it nothing happens.
.. was reported over 2 years ago now :)
