also crashing Mozilla 20030902 + JRE 1.4.2b28 with:
INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Plugin instance index out of bounds 31076
System error?:: Resource temporarily unavailable
The JRE log mentions:
TPIOHUE: 1990
IOException in findCookieURL
Bad termination of cookie request!
WFM with my 0905 trunk build and Sun build 1.4.2-b28. I tried a few routes and
they all worked.

tenthumbs@cybernex.net: Was that on Linux?

Can someone grab the Java plugin source from Sun.com (free after accepting
license) and grep for this error? Can you tell from the source around it what's
causing it?
Also, did this just start happening and is a regression? If so, try to narrow
down builds and post a link here to a Bonsai query showing checkins for that period.
Thanks!

This might be related to bug 210925.
FWIW, my java console has this line:
setWindow: call before applet exists:12658006
and cookies appear to be null. There are lot of lines like this.
Connecting
http://maptp2.map24.com/REF?app=com.netsolut.map24.Map24&docbase=null
with cookie " "
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20030917
j2sdk1.4.2_01/jre
Crush then mozilla start with:
[root@pmaze ns610-gcc32]# /usr/local/mozilla/mozilla
INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: No manager for initializing factory?
System error?:: Success
Reproduction - always :(
Only solution is to remove link to libjavaplugin_oji.so from plugins directory
of mozilla.

Still fails for me on Linux (RedHat 7.3) using Gecko/20030925 (Mozilla 1.6a) and
Java 1.4.2-b28. Can I get hold of 1.4.2_01-b06 to test? (I assume it is later
than 1.4.2-b28)

You can download the latest JRE from http://java.sun.com.
But I am not sure jre1.4.2_01 is external access.

fyi, 1.4.2_01 is available externally (from Sun), I'm running it on Linux & Win2k:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
