Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open history sidebar
2. Type search phrase in search box
3. Close history sidebar
4. Open history sidebar

Actual Results:  
The search text is erased from the text box, but the results of the previous
search remain in the box.

Expected Results:  
Either keep the search text along with the results or clear the search text and
show all history as if no search had been performed.

This also works on Firebird 0.7 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7).

It works even when browser is closed and opened again.

I guess that there are two solvation for this:

1. Clear search button (as in Thunderbird)
2. After some time of inactivity (not clicking on history search results)
history should revert to it's previous state

I suggest to show the whole histoty after re-opening history bar. This behaviour
would be consistent with the bookmarks bar.

It looks like it cannot be reproduced in the Firefox nightly of 2004-06-23 anymore.

Has this bug already been fixed?

It looks like it is fixed in Firefox 0.9 also.

This seems to be fixed in FF0.9, resolving as WFM per comment 7 and comment 8.
