How do I insert the password so I can access the server mailbox?

Dear Martin (same Prename here ;)), to establish an Autoconnect through TB / Win you have to go to the Network Connections and rightclick your "freenet-Conn.". Then click "properties". in the new box you should go to "options". There you have to disable the "Check for Name, password, etc..." Auto-Disconnect is not implemeted in TB at the moment afaik. But with the "Connection Timeout" you could handle it. *** Sorry for my bad english, but i think my bad english is better for the community than only in german ;) Auf deutsch: start-einstellungen-netzwerkverbindungen rechtsklick auf "Freenet" - Eigenschaften dann auf Optionen und dort Haken bei "Name, Passwort, Zertifkat usw. abfragen" rausnehmen. Automatisch trennen geht von TB aus derzeit wohl noch nicht, könnte man aber ggf. über "Leerlaufzeit, nach der die Verbindung beendet wird" regeln.
Dear Martin Gavelis! (In reply to comment #2) > to establish an Autoconnect through TB / Win you have to go to the Network > Connections and rightclick your "freenet-Conn.". Then click "properties". in > the new box you should go to "options". There you have to disable the "Check > for Name, password, etc..." This solution won't work for Thunderbird 0.7x (at least 0.7.3 and 0.7+). See Bug 256759, which was opened today by Frank. So, you will have to create a little batch-script which establishes the connection, waits a little bit and then finally starts TB. With kind regards, Michael

This feature is the only thing that prevents me from using Thunderbird. IMHO it would be very useful for users that don´t have constant internet connection.
I guess this could be merged with Bug 193857
I vote for this one and suggest more functionality. This setting should be available per account, so I can switch dial-up/VPN connection for each account.
