When an external application  opens a browser window, the window looks like the
old theme, complete with search sidebar, old icons, history, ect.  There also
seems to be no way of forcing external apps to open Firebird with a new tab in
the same browser window (this works fine in Camino)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Firebird, go to any webpage
2.Open any webpage / URL from a different app (Click on a link in your mail
program, ect...  (I'm using a RDF headine reader called SlashDock
(http://homepage.mac.com/stas/slashdock.html) but the same problem happens from
any app
3.

Actual Results:  
A new Firebird window opens, but looks like the old Mozilla, with Search sidebar
ect...

Expected Results:  
It should have retained it's theme, and opened the URL in a new Tab

Firebird doesn't seem to switch themes (Using the defaukt OS X install, on OS
10.2.6).  Firebird is a GREAT browser, but this bug keeps me from using it as my
default browser.  Camino has a preference that says "Loading a page requested by
another application:  Opens a new tab in the frontmost window"  This setting is
in the Navigation/Tabbed Browsing section.

Roy, for bug reports to be useful your version of the browser should be at most
3 weeks old (or the latest milestone). Please download a more recent version of
the browser (a nightly build would be best), and then update this bug with what
happens with a newer build.

fyi... grab a use contributed nightly build for os x from the mozillazine forums
for future bug reports... if there are no recent builds on the official ftp site

as for this bug its a duplicate of bug 206936 so no need to update your report
as requested in comment #2.
