User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de-AT; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de-AT; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312

When Mozilla is finished the file bookmarks.html is renamed to bookmarks-1.html.
When Mozilla starts again, it creates an empty bookmarks file bookmarks.html.
When finishing again this file is renamed to bookmarks-2.html. And so on.

The problem occurs at the PC of a collegue (same Mozilla 1.3 like me). Her
profile is on a network drive so I can see what happened to the files.

I also copied the original bookmarks file of the collegue into my profile. It
worked normally. So I cannot reproduce the effect on my PC, but it can be
reproduced on the PC of the collegue every time.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
See details.

Expected Results:
Let the name of the file bookmarks.html unchanged.
This looks like bug 157152.
Can you check if the bookmark file are read-only ?
All the files are NOT read-only.
And it is NOT like bug 157152.
In bug 157152 bookmarks.html remains unchanged when bookmarks-{n}.html is created.
In my case there is NO bookmarks.html after exiting Mozilla.
probably fixed by proxy of bug 252193, although i can't be certain since i'm not
sure where this behavior originated from. reopen if you still see it in builds
made after this date.
