linux, build 1999121708, redhat 6.1
I have been unable to try out the news features of mozilla. If I subscribe to a
newsgroup, then attempt to browse articles, a message comes up saying
"Authentication required." On some builds the username / password dialog would
flash on the screen for a brief moment, then disappear. usenetserver.com offers
free trial accounts, so others can test this bug with the same server.
Other notes: I still get this problem if I enter in my username and pass with
"remember password" checked off in the account setup window.
Mail works fine.
Support for password authenticated news isn't implemented yet.
Underlying support is bug #12924

we haven't implemented authenticated news yet which is what your news server
apparently requires. I have a bug about it somewhere (it may be assigned to
sspitzer/shaver).....I'll mark this as a dup for this.
