Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7
When opening up the Preferences pane, the only way to then exit it is to click
"Cancel". Hitting OK does nothing, regardless of which section of the Prefs pane
I'm on. This is new with 0.7 (as are 3 other bugs).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to "Mozilla Firebird" menu, then Preferences...
2. Make changes, hit OK. Nothing happens.
3. Hit cancel to get out, changes are lost.
Actual Results:
Can't save changes in the preferences pane.
Expected Results:
Saved changes and exited when 'ok' was selected.

Fred, what changes are you making in the Preferences pane? Does this bug occur
for any change you make, or just some? I'm wondering if you're trying to make
the change to the "Save all files to this folder:" option in the Downloads
preference that is outlined in bug 221879, or if there are even more preferences
that are screwy.
Apart from that bug, I've not had any problems with preferences closing. But I
use nightly builds from the trunk, while it looks like you're using a branch build.

I'm using the officially 0.7 release, which has been very very screwy. I have
reported 4 bugs on it, three of which I categorized as (major) - I feel justifiably.
Okay, I thought it happened all the time, but now that I play with it, I see
that was wrong. It is actually a duplicate of 221879 . One note, this happens
when I simply go to the Download Pane, whether or not I try to make any
settings. It happens when i go to the download pane, and then go to another
pane, as long I have ever been on the downloads pane. I'll add these notes to
221879, unless you'd like to.

Go right ahead and add your comments there, thanks :)
The Mac version of Firebird still has some serious problems, and I personally
doubt it was suitable for an "official" 0.7 milestone release (the release looks
like it was just expedited by retargetting all the problematic Mac bugs to
0.8!). So I think you'd do better with one of the latest nightlies. But I
believe it's going to be awesome, and at least we're helping by reporting
problems and testing fixes.
If you're happy that it's a dupe of bug 221879, please set it as such. Since
you're the reporter, you should be able to do that.

BTW, it'd be best if you tested out a nightly build before you add your comments
to the other bug, as some of your symptoms may already be fixed. I never tested
the 0.7 milestone, but I'm not seeing all the problems that you have on the
latest nightly.
