Many sites have some anti-cross linking functionality that depend on the referer
header that the browser sends being correct. This functionality protects the
site's images/downloads from being linked to by foreign sites.

When using the "Save Link to Disk" function, Mozilla does not send any referer
information causing the saving of the link to fail - unlike when clicking on the
link normally.
