I have an email that I know it has 2 attachments. when I click on it, ThunderBird crashes

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7 and I get this error: INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Could not get the JVM manager I have the latest stable version of ThunderBird. I 'm not sure how and why. But then I can rerun thunderbird. and it crashes when I click that message, and on and on.. about 5 times. after 4 or 5 times thunderbird doesn't start, but doesn't give an error message. I noticed that this happen NOW when I click to any email that has attachments! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click the message w/ the attachment 2 [review]. boom. bird doesn't fly anymore [crashes] 3. go to step 1, if you 've done that 4-5 times go to END. END: thunderbird won't start. gives no errors though Actual Results: I can't see any email that has attachments! the first mail that had attachment that caused the problem had 2 attachments in it, and was sent by Outlook. has no virus. and I have previously received from the same contact 4 mails w/ SIMILAR attachments. [similar I mean part of their filename is similar. abc.part1.rar, abc.part2.rar, abc.part3.rar and so on.. and in abc.part5.rar thunderbird started crashing Expected Results: see the two attachments. one was part5.rar and the other was a skin from winamp! but no after the first crash, I cannot get to see the other attachemnts too! that happens to every email that has attachments. even if that emails belong to another account I have! so I CANT OPEN EMAILS that have attachments!
after some time [about 10 minutes] thunderbird is able to run again. but crashes again when I try to read an email w/ attachments in it.
Could this be a duplicate of bug 221695? Does Mozilla / Thunderbird crash consistently, just for a few specific messages or even less frequently? I have seen some of this behaviour (crashing Thunderbird when opening a message) with the preview window off but never when navigating between messages in an existing window. This is on Windows XP using the release version of Thunderbird 0.3 (20031013).
