Seing this too, just expand "javascript", "w3c dom" or "css" in the menu to the
left so that the left frame gets a scrollbar --> error.
confirming Moz 1.5 final on WinXP Pro -- both Modern and Classic themes.
Thanks Jose ... to clarify for everyone else:
1. go to quirksmode.org
2. expand menus in left frame until scrollbar appears
3. note problem in verticle scrollbar

please one URL only in the URL field, and if you write full links, starting with
http:// they get clickable.
http://bitfluxeditor.org is wfm, had to resize to get the horizontal scrollbar,
but didn´t see anything peculiar.
http://quirksmode.org shows the bug seen in the attachment, but in slightly
other colors and forms, but about the same size and region. My screen resolution
is 800x600, Win98, SP1, SiS6326 grafics card with 8 MB.
Using Ctrl and + to enlarge the misrendered area grows too and changes form and
colours. While scrolling, the lower end of the scroll bar seems to be behind
that pixeljunk area, when stopping, on mousekey release the scrollbar gets
redrawn ok.
Another step to reproduce:
Scroll down to the end, you see part of the scroll bar and the down arrow button
overlayed by this pixel junk area.
Hover over the scrollbar, and the button, and they get redrawn, but not the
space between them, if there is any.
Now click on the UpArrow button, so the scrollbar scrolls up.
Instantly there is a pixel junk area created, overlapping the left half of the
DownArrow button and a lower left part of the scrollbar.
Scroll the scrollbar up to the top, and then hover over the DownArrow button to
redraw it.
Scroll the scrollbar down, and you see two things:
When it starts moving, the UpArrow button gets overlapped by the pixel junk
area. on further moving down, the scrollbar is behind the pixel junk area.
This can also be reproduced by looking at the single frame:
http://www.quirksmode.org/navi.html
There are two more bugs showing pixel junk and having testcases:
Bug 209352 graphics corruption alongside scrollbars
Bug 221533 pixel junk above scrollbar when mouse is crossing
testcase in bug 221533 is the 3rd of the seven horizontal scrollbar on the URL,
look at the attached screenshot to find it, or simply test all of them,
it is still seen with:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031030
the problem in http://bitfluxeditor.org should be page
http://cvsdemo.bitfluxeditor.org/examples/inline/index.html
Click the "Edit article" button and then you can edit the page.
input some characters until the hortizontal scrollbar is shown, then dragging
the scrollbar will randomly occur the problem I mentioned above.
The recent build Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; rv:1.7a)
Gecko/20040108 doesn't turn them black, but it still has broken appearance.

Attachment 138871 [details].
This bug seems to be visible when position:fixed; is on an element with
width:100%; and a background-color. Removing the background-color and adding a
border for example does not show the bug.
This is the same as bug 183495.
