Every time i type in ü, å, ä or something familiar in the google bar, its
converted to the ? sign. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type in "münchen" in the google bar
2. press enter
3. see you search results, google searched for "M?nchen"
Summary: "ü" in googlebar becomes "?" when search is done → "ü" in googlebar becomes "?" when searching
I see this too with build 2003-11-14 on Win XP. However, this problem is
probably fixed with the "update" patch in bug 225695. 
Yes, with the patch for bug 225695, it works fine.
