Unfortunately many websites expect a white background and set only the font color what in unreadable texts results. On the other hand I won't miss all the nice webdesignes by setting my prefs to ignore the web pages colors. What I need is a quick way to switch between "use my own colors, ignore the web page" and "use the colors of the web page". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
-> Keyboard: Navigation Confirming enhancement. I couldn't find a dupe for this, and as far as I can tell the feature does not currently exist.

You're not going to like this, but you could set up some user style sheets and then use Alt+V U and then a letter for the style sheet you want. I realize that's too hacky for most users. It would be cool to have a toggle for it, but then I think we'd need something in the view menu instead of appearance prefs.

See also Bug 348739 - Preferences option for "minimum text contrast". Some websites are hard to read due to low contrast of the text. It would be nice to have a menu option with shortcut key to increase the contrast. This could be by setting the colors to the user-defined colors.
