This Java problem happens in any Yahoo games room. You can read a description of
the issue at this link:

http://aasted.org/adblock/viewtopic.php?t=25&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=&sid=cb6c72750f3403ef813b34f42f911894

Software on my machine:
-Windows 98SE
-Mozilla 1.5 (I have also tried with Moz 1.6 nightly 2003-12-07)
-Java 1.4.2_01

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Adblock from adblock.mozdev.org and make sure you have Java installed
2. Go to Yahoo games (games.yahoo.com) and log in so you can play a game

Actual Results:
After I log in, the browser starts Java VM. A small grey square appears to the
top-left of the browser window. Mozilla seems to stop responding and the Yahoo
games Java applet does not appear. I hit the close button and Windows reports
that Mozilla has crashed

Expected Results:
Loaded up the Java applet properly.

Again, this seems to happen if the Adblock moz extension is installed. rue, the
developer of adblock, thinks the best work-around is to remove Adblock, but he
also seems to think that his ad-blocking extension seems to highlight another
problem between Moz and Java.
I didn't read the entire post because of length but it might be Bug 227196 .
You are right. It is a duplicate of 227196. I just didn't search hard enough for
the dupe.
