User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208 So there was a patch landed to fix the constant notification of junk e-mail and that worked quite well. But now I notice that when I'm typing in a compose mail, the Mail button on the bottom-left toolbar sometimes turns to notify - sure enough, junk mail. But none of the other mail icons get flagged in the interface. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a message composer window. 2. Wait for junk mail to arrive. 3. ??? 4. Profit Actual Results: The new mail flag appeared in the Navigator toolbar (bottom left). Expected Results: Nothing.
I attempted to reproduce this bug -- not easy, since I get relatively little spam. I finally had a case where a bug fetch resulted only in a single message ID'd as junk, and moved to the Junk folder, while I had a Compose window open. The Compose window's mail icon did not show the green flag. For reference, see bug 233929 and bug 233930, altho in both cases the notification is shown via all the usual mechanisms. This was tested with a recent 1.7a build: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040210
