When you have saved some adresses in your adress book, the 'collected' adresses
are added without looking if they aren't in your adress book already.

This is the case when you have "Email adress collection" enabled in preferences,
and checked "Add email addresses to my: Personal Address Book"


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter some adresses by hand in your adress book (ie. Display name = "Jan Henk
de Vries" with email adress "[e-mail]")
2. You receive some email from him. But has as display "J.H. de Vries" instead
of the "Jan Henk de Vries" you called him. His e-mail adress is the same as you
already added in your adressbook.
3. Reply on the mail you received from him; "J.H. de Vries" is added to your
adressbook with email adress "[e-mail]"

Actual Results:  
The 'collected' adress is added to your personal addresbook, however that adres
already exists, under a different name.


Expected Results:  
Do not check on a sender's name. Check for a sender's email adress instead.

As being an end-user, this bug -together with the rename mailfolder to directory
with invalid characters- is really ANNOYING as hell.

The Graphical User Interface of Mozilla is really great, the GUI of Outlook 2003
is, too. But I like Mozilla better. Too bad, this kind of annoyances would
consider me (and I guess a lot more end-users) to look for an alternative e-mail
application.

As for threatening to use a different mail client I suggest you read the
bugzilla etiquette: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=etiquette.html

This is closely related to bug 45946 and bug 218930, probably a duplicate of
what the two stand for.
