I'm seeing this problem with the 15th January build on Windows 2000. However, using the Smoke theme or the iCandy theme from http://www.cs.txstate.edu/~as1130/themes/ the arrows are visible. These themes were last updated on 13th January, so maybe it's a problem with an outdated default theme?
Confirmed, Smoke and iCandy Jr. show the arrow as they are supposed to. Strange. Really a theme issue?

Based off of the information in comment 4, adding -moz-image-region: auto; to the .menu-right selector in menu.css fixes this.

To the typist of comment #9: What theme are you using? I recently cleaned out my profile; perhaps yours needs cleaning as well.

AHA! This is definitely a default theme bug! I switched from iCandy-Junior to the default theme and the arrows went away. I switched back to iCandy-Junior and they reappeared! And this happened on the same trunk build that I mentioned above.
Does noone read bug comments any more? Comment 8 (from my comment 4) said changing the CSS (--> must be theme) fix it. I haven't seen pch in the last few days, so I'll attach a patch a minute.
Ok, Scott MacGregor has checked in a fix for this. This now appears fixed in my local build after this change, so marking FIXED. If this is not actually fixed, please reopen.
