Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040117
Since the first versions of the Mozilla port to OS/2 to present, I've noticed
this: upon closing SouthSoft PM Mail or PMI News, sometimes the Mozilla message
window(a little blank Mozilla window) will be brought to focus (its supposed to
stay hidden). Is it possible that the message window uses a random window id
which somehow sometimes conflicts with one that pmmail/pminews uses?
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.load mozilla
2.load pminews/pmmail
3.close/re-load until message window pops up.

That hidden compose window shouldn't have been around at all.

This has nothing to do with mail/news/compose, its a little tiny window which
someone (either Javier or you :) told me a few years back that it has something
to do with pm messages(?) or something of the sort. This window is supposed to
stay hidden at all times, but it sometimes becomes visible upon close of pmmail
or pminews (which are not loaded from mozilla but from the wps). I think the
problem is that this little window uses a random window ID which pmmail or
pminews uses, causing a conflict.

I don't think there is an ID conflict.
I think the problem was that we had the ability to bring up that window at all...
Do you still see this problem with current builds?

Yes, yesterday I upgraded to the latest (1.7a release) and was able to get that
little window to pop up after opening/closing pmmail a few times.
