Feature request:

When a new mail arrives, raise a popup.
I don't want to play a sound, but I'd like to be notified about it.

BTW, if a popup is already there (i.e., new mail has arrived and the user
did not yet close the popup), the number of new e-mails should appear at
the same popup (don't open another one!).

Also, if the popup is at a different virtual desktop and a new mail has arrived,
the popup should be relocated to the current virtual desktop (the user might have
no noticed it in the earlier desktop, or forgot, and would not know of the new
one).

In addition, I suggest to locate the popup at a pre-specified location (center
of screen, upper-right corner, etc.), but not let the window manager decide
where to put it.  The window manager may put parts of it outside the screen
(based on bad experience with sawfish...), so the user has to drag it each time
in order to press the OK button.
