234706 - Messages marked as read when filter moves them

Messages being filtered on one imap account are marked as read when filtered and
moved to a folder.  Another imap account (different system) does not do this.  

Messages are moved properly and the pane showing the folder indicates them as
being unread, but clicking on that folder immediately removes the marking and
shows them all being read.  

This happens 100 percent of the time on this account and from different machines
(all running thunderbird 0.5, I believe).

I have encountered this same problem.
I have a filter setup to move messages from the Nvu Info and Devel lists into a
sub folder.  The filter is also set to mark them as read, but they show up as
unread until the folder is right after the folder is viewed.
This is an IMAP account, with all folders being subfolders of the Inbox
