User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 On Citibank homepage http://www.citibank.de/ click on Citibank Online in Firefox 0.8 - nothing happens. A window should open. This works in Mozilla. The pop-up blocker seems to kick in, but a notice is not displayd or disappears immediately. Since there is no sound, the user cannot know what is going on. Mozilla works better in this regard, as the sound alerts to the pop-up, even if the icon has disappeared. (Workaround: manually add site to allow pop-ups) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. On Citibank homepage http://www.citibank.de/ 2. click on Citibank Online 3. Actual Results: - nothing happens. Expected Results: A window should open.
how does Mozilla 1.6 or a current nightly handle this?

I'm seeing the same thing in seamonkey build 2004022716. Actually, in both Mozilla Suite and Firefox, a popup warning icon does show for a split second, and then goes away due to the browser redirect. Maybe we should change product from Firefox -> Browser ?
There's a couple of bugs out on the issue of popup notifications disappearing after redirects, to wit: bug 2221778 and bug 230920.
