Details
I had a download going. Closed Downloads and then exited. I was met with a weird
dialog.
I think it should be revised to
If you exit now, any(or your) downloads will be canceled.bla bla bla
(Exit)(Don't Exit)
Cancel 1 download is weird. Do I really care about the number of downloads I
have? Also, I never say "give me 1 egg" but give me an egg

I would be astonished is this isn't a duplicate.
I suspect that there is more than one view on this, but unless
the download can be stopped/restarted or paused/continued across
sessions, then when one tries to quit the application whilst
there are uncompleted downloads, then the Download dialogue
whould (re-)appear with two choices:
Cancel Shutdown : Abort Downloads
I agree that it should not be a weird dialogue

PMFJI.
Regarding the above dialog, I think "canceled" should be changed to "cancelled".
Please see this thread:

i still think that instead of a dialog box, the downloads window should just
open up. i shouldn't have to keep a browser window i'm no longer using open
just to keep the download from halting.

I don't think you should be able to close the downloads box when you're
downloading, it makes you forget that you're downloading.

Edward - is this similar to one of the bugs you are working on?
