The -remote cmdline arguments are currently only supported for X. They're needed
on several places: E.g., I can't make mozilla the default browser, since every
html-file I want to open, starts the profile manager, if there is a running
instance.

Another application is the Mac-print-dialog, where one can add own scripts for
PDF-handling. A nice-to-have would be "send pdf as mail-attachment". This is not
possible with mozilla for the same reasons as above.

There is a related bug for Windows: bug 111539.

certainly not what really is needed or wanted.
