(win2k, 1.5 installer) Installer tells me that I don't have administrator rights, but allows to continue. I click yes, assuming that the GRE will be installed inside the target directory. I select a target directory inside "my documents" installation starts. gre installer tells me it can't continue due to missing administrator rights. installer continues to install the browser. when it's done, it (tries to) start the browser. I click away a dozen warnings about missing entrypoints in xpcom.dll. as expected, mozilla does not start. expected^Wideal results: installer notices it can't install the GRE in common files and installs inside the target directory.
I have a similar problem with WinME in that I have no room for GRE on the C: drive. I install to the D: drive by making temporary room on C:, then moving the GRE to D:, then patching all GRE references in the registry by hand. This is a real pain when the GRE *should* go where the application was installed.
1.7RC1 - still not working fails to update the GRE in the location specified by registry installs new GRE in default location fails to remove old GRE in Mozilla directory

You can always force GRE into the Mozilla directory using the -greLocal command line option to the installer.
Product: Browser → Seamonkey
