Clicking on hierarchical menu item can cancel menu

Clicking on a menu item that has a submenu can cancel the entire menu.
To duplicate: Bring up the Tasks menu, and move the mouse over My Wallet. Wait
for the submenu to pop up. Now click on My Wallet (the menu item - not the
submenu). The whole Tasks menu goes away.
I would expect clicking on the My Wallet menu item after the submenu has already
popped up to have no effect whatsoever: the submenu should remain up as should
the tasks menu itself. Try the same thing in Netscape 4.7 using the Tools menu
item on the Communicator menu. That is how Mozilla should work.
As an interesting observation, if, in Mozilla, you bring up the Tasks menu and
click on My Wallet before the submenu appears, the submenu is displayed.
Clicking on My Wallet again cancels the Tasks menu. The point being that the
bad behavior only manifests itself when the submenu is displayed.
This is happening in the Linux nightly build and has been there since at least
M11. Don't know about any other platforms.

Verified dupe of bug 16876, but this is really a dup of bug 15526 and has a
better description "Clicking on submenu parent menu item does not work"
