Mike: Could you install Mozilla 1.7b and retest? What plugin do you use as player?

Crash occurs with 1.7B also. Looks like I'm using Quicktime plugin. Is there any
way to get Mozilla to let an external player handle the file, the way it does
with real audio?
Downloaded the latest QT plugin. Now the clip stops for a second or two at the
beginning but does not crash and continues playing.
Sounds like a bug in an old version of QT....
Can you mention what Quicktime version you're using ? Do you still crash after
upgrading to QT 6.5 ?

Control Panel -> Quicktime -> MIME Settings
Uncheck MP3
I was using 5.something. It no longer crashes with 6.5
