Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040419
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040419

When I type in the address bar, some of the key strokes generate 2 characters
instead of 1.
I have never had such a problem with my computer, and typing everywhere else is
fine, so I suspect it is a problem with Mozilla

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
I get this bug also in recent daily builds of Firefox. The only difference is
sometimes I get even more than 2 characters. www.google.come ends up as
wwwww.gggoogggggglllleee.cccommmm. Had to revert to older daily builds.

It seems to happen whenever I type a name that has many autocomplete options and
the autocomplete options change several time.

I recommend severity: critical or blocker

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040425. I saw
it first with Gecko/20040422.
One has to type very slow to get the URL right. Typing cvb in a normal matter
results in cvvbb.
