first, i installed 1.7rc1 over 1.6
but then i uninstalled 1.7rc1 and reinstalled it, no change ;(
in bug 240336, the reporter found files still left under c:\program files\common
files\mozilla.org after an uninstall. Can you check if that is the case here too?

so, now i unsinstalled mozilla, and checked for files left in the common files
dir. there where no files, so i reinstalled mozilla, there's still the same
behavior, even if i uninstall flash (??)
it's still the same error, allways on flash sites, if there's more than one
flash animation on a page, i get an error for every flash animation. (i click
ok, the nthe next error appears) (f.e. on http://www.swishzone.com/ i geht 2
error messages)
So there were NO files left in the mozilla.org installation directory before you
installed? (Please also look in the sub-directories)
and.. one more thing: Which file is it you install from?
If you unzip it: make sure you unzip to an empty dir.

there was only a sub-dir called GRE, but it was empty
i install from the file mozilla-win32-1.7rc1-installer.exe
do you have a TEMP dir with a subdir called ns_temp (+possibly a number) somewhere?

it's an ActiveX plugin, obviously outdated. A newer (for Mozilla 1.7) seems to
exist: http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/mozilla.htm
