when going to any website with a pulldown menu or a list box mozilla make a
bunch of grey boxes in the size of the boxes/menus in the upper left hand
corner then the whole browser window flashes and the boxes jump into place.
Hmm...I don't see this.

If you're still seeing it on a current build, please read the Bug Writing 
Guidelines and submit a more specific bug report that we can work from.

When you goto http://bugzilla.mozilla.org then to the query page

in the upper left hand corner you see widgets flash, like the scroll bars

for the list boxes and sometimes a grey box the size of a list box and then

they flash away and jump into place on the screen.

Sorry, i was using the 2000 01 26 09 build for Linux 
my kernel is 2.3.39 my libc is glib2.1 my distro is debian potato
cc'ing pav just in case he's got a quick diagnosis for this

sorry, but i'm kinda unclear as to how to repro this problem... i was checking
out the 2000-02-03-08 linux commercial bits and didn't have any problems viewing
the bugzilla query page. i'm sure what to do once that page loads... in terms of
stuff flashing in the upper-left corner, i get that when i try to bring up a
context [popup] menu on *any* kind of page --see bug 26452.

however, this sounds more like problems with form elements... so am gonna pass
this along to ckritzer...

yeah, i see this all the time. I don't think this is an xp-menu bug, though.

My guess is that we may be seeing the scrollbars, this will probably be taken
