use GNOME's gnome-network-preferences for proxy settings

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
I'd like to modify firefox to use gnome's gnome-network-preferences

To recreate this go to Tools->Options and select General. Then click on
Connection settings.
Depends on: 233462
switch dependendacy...
Blocks: 233462
No longer depends on: 233462
Related to/duplicate of bug 195708.
I don't think it is dup of 195708. I would like gnome-network-preferences dialog
to be popped up for tools->options->connection settings. This would be related
to native print dialog issue (# 193001)
hmm, this is almost solved. It's possible to get the proxy-settings from GNOME
settings by changing a pref and there is a patch for bug #259076 pending which
expands the used settings. So reporter, what do you want in addition? If there's
nothing we could close this bug as fixed.
yes it is..There is a additional patch in
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=202388 for ftp and other setting.
We need to pick that up aswell.
Ganesh, you have a patch lying around to synchronize the gconf settings with
Firefox' if use_system_prefs is enabled.
Maybe you can attach it to this bug?
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
