User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 Thunderbird 0.6 (20040502) displays the pop-up notification and shows the new mail icon in the system tray even if the message(s) are recognised as junk and deleted. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set junk mail controls to 'on' and train for a while 2. Set junk mail controls to move (junk) to 'other' = trash on imap 3. Turn on mail notification with 'check mailbox every 10 mins' 4. Wait for spam to arrive Actual Results: 1. Observe notification pop up appear 2. See 'new mail' disappear as the junk mail control deletes it. 3. Tray icon shows new mail goes away Expected Results: One of two things would be better. 1. Don't notify me at all if the mail is junk 2. With notification turned off, allow me to create a filter with the rules 'sender is in my address book' AND 'sender is NOT (my address)' with the action 'notify me'. This does not need to show the pop-up, since I can see problems with multiple incoming messages causing the pop-up to start yo-yo-ing. Instead, just toggle the tray icon ON until all mail is read OR I click on the tray icon.
