User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040421 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040421 This is an enhancement request I would like to suggest the ability for the user to be able to save or restore the "layout" of their current mozilla instance. To give an example, I currently have one mailnews window, and 8 navigator windows open on my desktop. If mozilla crashes, if I have to reboot, or when I shutdown at the end of the day, I have no way to restore everything back to the way it was, short of manually cut and pasting all the URLs I had open, and then opening them again one by one. I often find myself with multiple windows open, because I will be working on various different tasks, switching between them frequently. I liken this to the way windows restores on startup the position and view of explorer windows that were open when it shutdown. This could be a configurable checbox item - [x] restore/reopen browser windows on startup. Mozilla would presumably need to store at least the following items for each window: postion on the desktop size of window type of window (eg, mailnews, navigator, composer, etc) for navigator windows, it would also need to store at least the URL, and the viewport offset There would probably need to be some sort of bypass mechanism, eg, holding down shift, to cover for the possibility that opening a particular URL causes mozilla to crash. If this information was saved in the user preference config file, and that file was on a shared location, then it would be possible to save the layout, close down, go home, open up mozilla, and all the windows Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
