User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9 The site I was looking at - my online telephone account had a file - a pdf of my telephone calls - on clicking on it a download came up - Thinking this was stupid I forced Firefox to open the file - and an unending stream of blank windows resulted. On closing down Firefox - I found I could not re-start - the message - extension loading - came up - after deleting extensions folder and repeating the exercise - the stream of windows repeated but not the 'extension' message. The file extension was .p not .pdf !! I checked the response of Mozilla 1.7 to the same file and it just refused to open it. I amended the file extension to .pdf and it opened in Adobe Reader 6.01 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to open file net-billpdf.p by clicking on it 2. When it offers to download force to open with Firefox 3. That's it a stram of blank windows Actual Results: I hit task manager and kill Firefox Expected Results: Refused to open the file just file Mozilla 1.7 did I have a copy of the file that caused the problem if you want to reproduce it!
