When the 'Play Now' button is clicked for any online game at Pogo.com, a new
window appears and displays an advertisement. After showing the advertisement,
the chosen Java-based game should load, but it does not. The advertisement
appears forever.
I am using Sun's JVM. I have tried multiple versions of the JVM and multiple
versions of Mozilla. I first noticed the problem in the pre-release versions of
Mozilla 1.7.
I have been told that the same problem exists in Windows with Mozilla and Sun's
JVM. I cannot confirm this at this time.
I have found reference to this problem at this URL:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=&postid=981711#post981711
I previously used Pogo.com with great success with the same VM. I do not know
if this problem is the result of a change at Pogo.com or with a bug in Mozilla
or Java.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Sign in to Pogo.com
2. Select a game a click the 'Play Now' button.
3. A new window should appear and display an advertisement. After a few
seconds, the game should load, but it does not.
Actual Results:
The advertisement will continue to be displayed for as long as the window
remains open. I have tested this at greater than 1 hour. Java never seems to
start.
Expected Results:
After only a few seconds displaying the advertisement, the game should load.
