User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040616 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040616 Besides the persistence of bug 243852 (re-entered as bug 248592), Thunderbird 0.7 does not download images (or CSS for that matter) for HTML mail. Although I'm behind an authenticating web proxy and I have given its name and port in the advanced configuration, I never get asked for a username or password (Mozilla 1.6 and 1.7 have worked fine all the time for me). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get behind an authenticating web proxy 2. Configure Thunderbird 0.7 for it (mind bug 248592) 3. Join the list at http://list.theregister.co.uk/cgi-bin/subscribe.cgi 4. Wait for the daily report 5. Open the report Actual Results: No images appear when I open any HTML mail. Expected Results: It should've loaded the images and the css for the message (or at least the images). I seem to remember it working a couple of times on Thunderbird 0.6 (when I first installed it probably), but ever since it's broken. I thought something might have gone wrong and a bad username/password got stored permanently, but I haven't been able to find anything related in the profile files. Should I attach a sample to this bug, and how?
Looks like a dupe of Bug 205947.
