How is this UNCONFIRMED? It's certainly present on 0.7.1 06/26 for me. I shouldn't think it's a whole lot of code to do, I'll take a look. CC'ing myself.

I didn't know if I should mark this as a duplicate or not. I don't know if the necessary code will be shared between Thunderbird and MailNews. Any ideas?

The total size of the email with attachments would be good as well as the individual attachment sizes. Should I file a new bug for this or does this bug cover it?

yep i do agree it should show the size of the attachments in compose page
yes - it seems a pretty basic function - individual attachment size - and total - well I email a lot of pictures - and i would like to keep my messages under 1 MB. there is no quick way to know it so far... on every OS
