Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.9.1 Build Identifier: When attempting to import old email from Netscape 4.7 using the Thunderbird Import function, clicking on the Next button after selecting Netscape 4.x to import, nothing happens. The Next button grays out as if something was happening but nothing does. The function does list Netscape 4.x as an import option so apparently it recognizes that we have such email on the system. However, that's as far as it gets. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Described in details above 2. 3. Actual Results: Nothing. The import box had to be x'd off but the import function did not accomplish anything. Expected Results: All the old Netscape emails should have been imported into Thunderbird mail. This is on a pc that was upgraded about a year ago from Windows ME to XP Home. There are several account subfolders under Netscape Mail because we have changed accounts and ISPs a couple of times. The import function did not ask which of the accounts I wanted to import. I am labeling this one as major because without the functionality, migration to this email client is not viable.
I can Confirm that also does occur on Windows 2000 all patches With Thunderbird 7.2 Also I have several accounts under 4.x (4.8) and it does not ask me, system also does not seem to use any cpu time and just waits. I agree with out migration usage is not viable
Confirmed on Windows Professional XP SP1 + latest security patches. Importing Comunicator 4.x on Thunderbird 0.7/0.7.2 fails. It worked on Thunderbird 0.6. This is a bug, not a missing feature. For testing purposes, Netscape Communicator 4.x is still available from the Netscape site. http://wp.netscape.com/download/archive.html
