There is no method of exporting mozilla addresses and mail from the windows mozilla to the linux mozilla. In the course of installing Linux there is a real need for the export function. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
If you have a dual boot machine you can try this: http://texturizer.net/thunderbird/share_mail.html See also bug 252099.
How is this a browser bug?

The machine concerned is winXP/Mandrake10 and the win partition is NTFS. It seems to me that in converting people from winXP(ugh) to linux there is a need to be able to transfer some data. Reading jpg and doc files is no problem, one simply goes to /mnt/windows etc. But mail data? We also need to make it easier to convince people to change and this problem may be too much of a hurdle in many cases.
